i have very much so mixed feelings so let’s talk abt the bad:
1. the dialogue was kinda cheesy
2. i couldn’t take maddie ziegler seriously
3. where was the chemistry between the two actresses ?? i wanted it to be there but sadly it was lacking
and the good:
1. vada and her sister - give the little girl an oscar wowza that crushed me 😭
oh also just fuck school shootings obviously
can’t give it five stars cuz i definitely missed some of the movie when i was closing my eyes like a scared baby but yea this definitely is one of the best horror films i’ve ever seen - actually is it even horror? made me want to throw up i was so anxious holy shitttt

i was super excited to watch this - i thought the premise looked awesome and i’ve always admired deaf culture but this was hilariously bad. the main actress was unlikeable to say the least - when the choir teacher (which btw has anyone who made this movie actually gone to hs ?? no one acts like that) was training her and she screamed and blurted out singing joni mitchell i laughed for like five minutes straight - only good part was the parents, save yourself two hours and don’t watch this cheesy predictable hallmark film that somehow got nominated for best picture lmao
