It seems this movie has been divisive among those who watched it, and although I can see where most of the arguments surrounding setting and background come from, I think knowing every detail of what came before isn’t important. Alex Garland has once again crafted a compelling and heart wrenching story looking at violence and conflict through the eyes of war-time journalists. A completely unique take on the concept of PacMan. Intriguing from start to finish and chilling by the end.

Another tight and action packed episode, however not as intriguing or dense as other episodes. Nonetheless, a fun watch

“There’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo...and it’s worth fighting for.”

My favourite movie of a perfect trilogy. So many iconic moments from The Battle of Helm’s Deep to The March of the Ents. By far the most well directed and entertaining battle scenes in any movie ever in my opinion. Frodo and Sam’s journey with Gollum? Perfection. Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli’s journey? Perfection. Gandalf’s return at first light on the fifth day? Perfection. Dear fuck I love this movie.

    Gandalf the White the GOAT.

Rewatched for easily the 5th time or more with some friends after deciding to watch the full trilogy again. A perfect first entry and beginning to a perfect trilogy of movies - dare I say my favourite trilogy of all time.

The soundtrack still gives me chills and puts a smile on my face. The casting is perfection. Up there with my favourite movies for good reason. Some CGI may be a little outdated but otherwise the…
