yes, only now have I actually watched The Prince of Egypt...
Stunning visuals, great visual storytelling, though a lot of scenes felt very detached; of course it's an adaptation of Exodus so it ought to be greater than life and all, but still felt like it could be a bit more intimate at times.
I was surprised/delighted by some of the details; the shine of the gold, the lighting on someone's hair..
Some very iconic songs, some weak 'Disney Lackey' songs, you know the ones. I guess I expected... more?
But it definitely was a beautiful adaptation with some unforgettable moments.

Overall I enjoyed the story and the visual style, music, the different animation styles but (even though the film is supposed to be an homage to Spiderverse, I know) the animation felt too choppy in a lot of places, in pretty much down-time scenes where characters were just talking to each other and it was super distracting.

Honestly all it had to do is say "fuck England, fuck colonialism" and I was sold. A gorgeous art style, having seen the concept art in Stuttgart I just had to find this hidden movie.
Beautiful story and yes of course I fucking cried. The running with the wolves sequence was so emotional for me it all just worked.
And I loved that it didn't do some bullshit compromising like "we can learn to live together with the evil people" nah just kill the guy.
