  Beautifully shot Drive My Car reminds me of the old English proverb "No man is an island entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main" seeing the way Oto and Yusuke support each other, Takatsuki by Yasuke, and Yusuke by Misaki (chauffeur), as they all endure quite literal tunnels (of loneliness) and overcome the sorrows of grief.
  Although it dragged a bit, I think this film is special in expressing the connectedness of all people especially through the theatre casting of different backgrounds, languages, and ages.
