Batman Returns 1992
way better than what i remember from like 10+ years ago. a bit more mature than its predecessor, with better writing. delves a bit more into the psychology of batman and duality. more mature but somehow also rlly funny??
this strange tone is what im expecting with james gunn's dc cinematic universe.
the supporting cast are the highlight of the film. pfeiffer, devito, and christopher walken.
some of the shots are particularly beautiful, looking straight out of a comic.

it was my fault, i let the hype get to me. the marketing was better than the movie. nicholas cage is amazing as his non-subtle acting works here. enjoyed it up until the third act...unnecessary twist. dolls are not scary. so tired of dolls...
everything is great visually and directorialy but the writing and story could be much better. a movie that left me thinking about ways i would have done things differently with the premise.
