stellar performance by jack nicholson

the first time he walked in stumbling and acted like he had been electro shocked i was incredibly sad and thought his life was over, to see him break that and laugh was gold
i think this movie was a bit old for me on some notes, some scenes just don’t fit quite together and there are scenes missing/fluffed, but i will say given that it’s 50 years old it has aged very well
a love letter to asian americans and a snapshot into HS life in the early 2000s
cinematography was rly great, love the way this was shot
feel like this well represents life as an early teen, trying to do things that you think are “cool” but in reality being kind and ur authentic self is what is more what matters
wanted to give this a higher rating but it was a short movie, the plot kind of faded towards the end and stopped abruptly
absolute masterpiece, I don’t know why I tried so hard to only give it a 4.5, this movie hits all the right note
Storyline is incredible, humorous, witty, it has all these quirky little bits that just adds the nuances of it all
The animation just makes this movie all the more iconic few memorable - wolf moment, “i’m little”, fox fighting rat
