I think some people are being way too hard on this film. While, yes, the cult concept is not anything new, and some imagery can be compared to other recent films, the messaging and style of this film is completely its own.

i could talk about the gorgeous imagery, the amazing cinematography, the INCREDIBLE performances of the two leads, but i didn’t get to see the last 20 minutes cause my instacart grocery order arrived an hour early.
anyways good to see the underrated scream queens willow and kyle get their flowers.
phenomenal film and incredibly grounded and subtle performances but all that was drowned out towards the middle by my mother and i screaming in frustration about how the french justice system operates
