Not gonna win any awards, but a lot of fun and good nostalgia. A couple of genuinely hilarious scenes, in particular the boys' visit to a college campus in 2022.

I watched this movie several months ago, but I was just remembering the the opening scene of Armstrong flying the X-15 and "bouncing off the atmosphere" and how tense it was and how cool it looked (the way it really makes you feel like you are in the cockpit--not in a videogame way--and the thin blue line of sky below the plane and the dark space above; my god).

The Card Counter 2021
I knew this was going to be a badass movie when he goes into a small budget motel room and covers everything in gray linens tied with twine like an old school gothic character. I hate gambling in real life but love movies about it. Some disturbing flashback scenes of Abu Ghirab that really stuck with me, in particular one in which the protagonist as a young guard asks his torture instructor what to do if the victim really doesn't know anything, and the instructor (Willem Dafoe) says, "They always say that. It's their culture."
