Nearly every song feels too Americanized - bummer since it's a movie about Mexican culture and especially music.

"Mord mit Aussicht" vibes meets Hollywood –
It was a good and catching play with multi-layered characters but unfortunately some of them were a bit too obvious tokens.

Strong aesthetics, convincing actors and an exciting story. If the movie had been a bit longer, there could have been more depth in the characters, their backstories and feelings, because there is still a lot to tell. But apart from that, it was great and refreshing to experience this kind of movie from a queer, female perspective. More like this please!

Jack Nicholson acts brilliant as a psychopath but not convincing as a family father. Maybe he never was, maybe his character is just toxic and patriarchal.

Besides that, it's a pretty good, well balanced and visually pleasing movie.
