  not a lifechanging movie by any means in terms of plot or performance but it was just so sweet and kind of made me ache. i honestly think the focal point of the movie was more about the truly irreplaceable relationship a girl has with her best friend than about figuring out your sexuality, and it just made it all the more bittersweet! like yeah coming to terms for the first time with the fact that you might be queer…

  lovely and silly and so much fun <3 some evocative and heartfelt messages about womanhood (that greta very much conveyed by literally making america ferrera Explicitly Tell Us, in list form), as is appropriate for a barbie movie. had a wonderful time but am unlikely to revisit!
