Smile 2022
While Smile is somewhat predictable and familiar at times, some of the imagery hauntingly creeps into your mind and plants itself there. Rosie Bacon does a fantastic job in this role and I really found myself empathizing with her, even when I found myself begging her to make different decisions. No Rosie, everything is not “fine!” There are jump scares aplenty, most of them seen coming from a mile a way, but somehow they never felt cheap. The overall formula has been seen before time and again, but Smile was still an enjoyable watch nonetheless.
