  I mean, listen, this movie is definitely not a "great", especially for Nolan. It is a bit difficult to unpack, and the issues with sound mixing are very real. Most importantly, it doesn't have the same emotional core that took more intimate films like Inception and The Dark Knight from good to great. It's a big story about the end of the world, and it plays out as such: a straightforward thriller without much breathing room or tonal variety.

  But I'll be damned if it's not an entertaining movie! It's Nolan cranked up to 11, in all the best and worst ways.
