  Felt like a really long boring Criminal Minds episode. However, I gained appreciation for shyamalan being such a girl dad.

  Pros: Capitalist pain, disgosting slobbery gross, and it was essentially the best telling of a space alien trolley problem. Had strong undertones of the current human vs AI cultural fears, but not on the nose about it. 

  
  Cons: The pace of the film gave off the vibe that it needed to hussle to finish this story, so they could get to the sequel. Kind of like when someone’s telling a really long joke and the punchline isn’t funny.  Felt like a retelling of the classic, so much so that I half expected Sigourney Weaver herself to be birthed.
