Had such great expectations for this film. The trailer got me all hyped up. However, whilst not entirely a total disappointment, the end product just left me cold, and the ending? Meh. It is neither a serial killer nor a horror movie per se. It felt like a mashup between Sinister and Silence of the Lambs, which are obvious references for the film. The cinematography was excellent, though and Nicholas Cage, unrecognisable under a ton of make up, gives a good performance. Overall a missed opportunity.

Immaculate 2024
Similar, in some ways, in plot to the First Omen, I must say that I enjoyed this movie a bit more than I did with The Omen, for the simple reason that it was not buoyed down to any other movie. The Omen 1976
Of course, this is one of the best horror movies ever made, starring one of my all time favourite actors, Gregory Peck. The script and direction are excellent, supported by an excellent score from composer Jerry Goldsmith. This and The Exorcist are the staples of 70s horror cinema. Highly recommended viewing.
