  Legitimately scary and unnerving for the first hour, but the twist was very over the top sci do and at a scale that kind of brought it out of the realm of reality for me that kind of snapped me out of the horror aspect...

  Not as good as the first but I did enjoy the explanation of what was going on and why. However, the first sequence with the inventor by the end seemed really unimportant and out of place. We followed a sideline story that set up the how and why of the machine but then got dropped as we started to follow Tree again and was not resolved. And while I get the killer being different in each dimension, it led to a lot of weird confusion as it almost made the killer irrelevant with everything else going on in the film.
