I mean, this movie is fucking great. Watching it feels like you’re watching something you should definitely not be watching.
The whole film just has a layer of grease and blood over it - everything feels infected and grimy and goddamn I love it. Surprisingly little gore though; the horror really comes from what you imagine these characters are enduring.

Easily the weakest Conjuring film of the three main series films. The story is pretty flat on its own but it just gets buried under an avalanche of tired haunted house movie tropes. Far cry from the first film. Also, I’ve kinda soured on the Warrens as people we should be putting on a pedestal - they were straight up conmen.
2 stars because Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson are really good at acting and also the morgue scene was ok.
This movie doesn’t really need to exist. It’s gore for the sake of gore and nothing more really; no message to be found here. You’re better off watching snuff videos on break.com
One star for the dude who played Art the clown, good job dawg. One star for the sawing in half kill because it’s just so goddamn brutal.
