  Almost an hour's worth of new deleted scenes just shows how well edited this film is. Eliminating the majority of Jeffrey's back story leaves him an empty vessel for the viewer to peer into the darkness of Lumberton with wide eyes. We feel very little for Jeffrey as a person but have strong feelings towards what he is experiencing. Jeffrey has never felt anything real until now and one could draw the conclusion that he never will again. I am gaining new levels of appreciation upon each viewing.

  An emotional departure for Nolan which is beautiful at the best of times and overbearing at the worst of them. And kudos to the Nolan brothers for the best onscreen robots in recent memory.
