A thoroughly enjoyable and unique take on a genre of movies that can often feel stale and derivative. Although Burton’s films aren’t my preference, I appreciate the effort he puts into making the worlds in his films feel authentic and alive, with just enough humor and lighthearted moments to balance out the creepiness. Keaton’s performance is clearly the highlight here, with every one of his scenes being peppered with hilarious dialogue.
