Deeply bizarre and weird, almost surrealist. I like the ambiguity of its genre: A musical tragicomedy that turns into horror at points. Clearly influenced by The umbrellas of cherbourg (Jacques Demy), where the actresses/actors don’t dance. It references Pinocchio and probably Titanic. On my opinion this could have been a better story without the musical part, but I’m not a fan of musicals!
