Nostalgia 1983
“Feelings unspoken are unforgettable”
As with any Tarkovsky, I’ll need time to truly evaluate how I feel about the film, but as of now right after watching this, this might be my favorite Tarkovsky film of all time and thus one of my favorite film experiences of all time… but that’s just how I feel now… ask me again in a week, month, or year to see if I feel the same, but my gosh, what an incredible experience this…

The best film of all time and it’s not even close, if you ask me at least.
It breaks almost every rule of cinema and creates something more true and cinematic than has ever been seen before or since.
This film makes every other film look cute, almost amateurish. Even Bergman’s other films can’t compare to this.

Hour of the Wolf 1968
It’s not every day that you get an in-person introduction from Liv Ullman before watching a Bergman masterpiece. I could listen to her tell stories about her and Bergman all day. They really did have a fascinating and powerful relationship.
