  do the right thing uses cinematography so effectively, it moves me deeply and fills me with pride. it's makes me happy to see a film so closely tied to the real world, especially when portraying these communities.

  the way spike lee captured everything on film, even giving it a summer vibe, is just perfect..  

  he understood that summer makes these communities very vulnerable, especially in brooklyn, where they face the harsh reality of brutality on a day-to-day basis. 

  truly one of the best films ever.

  tiana was every brown girl’s queen growing up, i can say so much about this movie and it’ll never be enough to describe my feeling and emotions for this movie.

  “we accept the love we think we deserve” 

  the entirety of this film gives me hope that one day, i will find my group of people. this kinda gives me a reminder that even when we feel lost or different, there’s a place where we truly belong—a place where the right people will see us for who we are and won’t judge us for how we feel or think.
