A Real Pain 2024
A very personal story from Eisenberg something very painful and real that touches upon his own trauma and grief of loosing people from his own family and something that despite all the pain left me feeling very hopeful by the end.
The music in this does a wonderful job carrying a specific feeling in each scene particularly during the travelling montages but there’s a moment where all the sound cuts out for a few seconds after some particularly tough subject…

The Matrix 1999
It’s crazy having seen the effect of the matrix in film and media in general and going back now too see the cause. I wish I was able to see this blind all the way back then with no idea what it was because it would have blown my mind. My main problem with it really is just trinity’s whole thing is just underwritten and I find it comes a little out of nowhere.

I don't really feel I can articulate my feelings towards this show and its quality in a letterboxd review and not any better than the way others already have but it is just a brilliantly well produced, written, and acted show.
