Haters will call it El Nopo, but I’ll call it El Sort-of-Dopo (because it was dope… but don’t do drugs kids). I liked this movie, but only up to a point. I feel like everyone who REALLY liked this movie also un-ironically refers to anything they watch as a “film.” I don’t know why that bugs me but it does.
If I saw this movie playing is some dimly lit corner of the Whitney Museum, I wouldn’t doubt it’s being there for one second. That’s all I really have to say about the “film.” Avant-Garde? Yes. Good? Yes. Entertaining? Debatable.
