  You know when you watch a film and immediately click with its sensibility? That’s how I felt with this film. Love the directing choices - the tree shaking, for example -that brought us into our characters POVs, and brought their POVs into the world. What an empathetic, specific, funny, beautifully weird love story. Mrs. Muldroone, we’ll never forget the extra E.

  Danielle brooks EATS. Finally some good chaotic bi girl energy in Shugg. A who’s who of singers popping up for two seconds but they all have the voices of angels so I’m not mad.

  Pacing is a little off, and could use more of the explicit queer & self love exploration/transformation (as written in the book), but I still cried like a baby so there you go.
