I laughed, I cried, and more importantly I dreamed. Dreamed that gravity for me, too, was simply a lyric in a song that I penned rather than some constant reminder of my humanity and lack of ability to go to space and eat foam foods and float until they hit the gravity button in the space craft.

I don’t often find myself reviewing films as words tend to fall short of what was typically a deeply visceral, ephemeral experience but I have got to pay my respects to this absolutely perfect film. It’s beautifully written, the lighting is second to none, and despite it being a period film and where my social status would’ve landed me at the time, I wanted to be there—I dreamt of it in my subsequent night’s rest.
