Sonny Boy is not a complicated show. It's a coming of age story with an emphasis on the relationships young people make and how fleeting, and yet meaningful, they can be. It is a bitter sweet and melancholic with fantastic visuals and characters that genuinely feel like real people. So many films, shows, books, etc fail to make their characters feel authentically human, Sonny Boy succeeds.
