LOVED Jon Voight! Best thing about the film. And the clowning acrobats were a delight!
The whole was a thematic and stylistic muddle - tons of awful signposting. The audience at my screening roared with inappropriate laughter.
I felt emotionally detached - tension was lacking. Maybe Coppola channelling a bit of Brecht? 😳

The ending reminded me of Teletubbies, not in a good way.
