This movie is a perfect mock-horror movie. this isnt like other horror movies ive seen, everytime I watch it it gets more enjoyable and in-depth; using other horror figures like Norman Bates from The Bates Motel and Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of The Lambs as references and examples on how they could inspire/motivate someone to act on grotesque impulse.

I'm giving this movie it's 1st star for plot, 2nd and 3rd star for it's plot twist, and a 1 ½ stars for the acting and how exhaustingly drawn out the movie was. The acting of Charlie Shotwell as 'Eli' was top tier, especially for an 11-year old. Everytime he would start hyperventilating I would follow suit. The last 20 minutes had me on the edge of my seat, then when Sadie Sink was just standing there saying "our dad" I was like HOLY SHIT HERE COMES ELI 2!! But honestly this movie would fare better without a sequel, similar to Firestarter by Stephen King.

it's one of the most entertaining movies out of the newer genre of horror, it managed to keep my attention the whole time. I love the plot twist that Patrick Dempsey is actually the killer the whole time because his mistress died during a black friday riot turned deadly.

Red was used when Tina was dancing in the opening shot, which symbolized both love and hate. Next, it was used when the first night (in the film) ended, and Da Mayor came to talk to Mother Sister. When the street lights turned…
