  It's not a problem that you cast a 30 year old to play a teenager, that happens all the time. It is a problem when you cast a 30 year old to play a teenager when every other teen could actually pass for teenagers. It's also a problem that the titular Dear Evan Hansen is a sociopath, gaslighting his way into a relationship, which makes the fact that he looks over 10 years older than everyone else even worse. Misguided cinema had a musical.

  At least the music is alright.

  Every once in a while, it's nice to watch a movie that reminds you how magnificent the power of music can be. Beautiful in every way.

  I also love that the concept of "Once" is, "What would a musical in real life actually look like?"

  Earth Girls Are Easy is surprisingly horny for a "PG in the era of PG-13" movies. Apparently, between takes, Geena Davis and Jeff Goldblum would just make out continuously, and they are so hot in this movie, I believe it. A big, messy as hell, swing of a movie.

  They really just had the title and almost nothing else.

Following
