Good movie. Acting wasn’t great but the majority of the actors were kids so you can give it a freebie. A little slow throughout. However, you still get attached to the characters and the ending was very emotional and powerful. Definitely has a strong Christian emphasis but that makes a lot of sense since one of its messages is about the true meaning of Christmas. As a Christian, I was pleasantly surprised by the messages about Christ and other wholesome messages.
Phenomenal job on this movie! The visuals were well done. The artwork and animation were absolutely beautiful! The film did a great job of showing lots of different characters and principles of life. A wholesome film with lots of deep significance behind various aspects of the film that are super relatable to life.
My wife was bawling her eyes out for what felt like the whole movie. 10/10 recommend for adults and children alike! The kids around us loved the movie and were super invested in it. Creating a movie that both adults and children can enjoy is a tough challenge. Well done Dreamworks!
The only reason this gets a full star at all, is that Christian Bale did an AMAZING job with his character. Every time he was on the screen, I was enjoying the movie. It was like watching two completely different movies at the same time
