I chose this film randomly for something new to watch on Hoopla, a sorely underrated source for films, and my mind was blown. I haven't even finished watching the film and feel compelled to write a quick review.

The scope of animation and skill to create the painstaking visuals blew my mind. I fell down a rabbit hole researching the real cult it was based on. It has such a fascinating and disturbing background that I feel like I've attended an unknown history course.

Highly recommend!

This is a fun horror flick. LOVE the nightmare entity that keeps showing up like a bad guest at your private parties (the one who will show up unannounced and try to borrow a coveted title from your Bluray collection that they will never return--THAT'S WHY YOU CAN'T TAKE YOUR EYES OFF OF THEM!). It makes me think of an allegedly true event that happened to Ghost Bro Zak Bagans' driver, who was transporting a haunted statue once owned by Steve McQueen. This entity also proves you can menace people without pants...or clothes for that matter, but you MUST have killer brows.

Something I'd like to own and watch again to gather some thoughts on it.

An emotional rollercoaster about girls standing up for themselves and to societal pressures. Made me cry and share a moment with a person sitting next to me as I passed around some much-needed tissue.
