    I love this movie for all that it is, cringe moments and all. It feels like a staple of the 00’s, and my pre-teenhood.

    Yeah so this was bad. Like bad bad. I’m not sure why Chase and I thought we’d humor ourselves (maybe because we love cats and musicals and Taylor Swift) but everything about this felt so wrong. I unfortunately hated it, and the only reason it isn’t .5 stars is because it did make me feel things. Those things might be cringe and disdain, but I wasn’t distressed, which can be part of my criteria for the lowest rating possible.

    I very much enjoyed this movie. If you know anything about me, I strongly dislike how the media portrays mental illness a lot of the time. This was different. It didn’t feel dramatized or stereotypical. It wasn’t rooted in pop psychology, like how some media representation is. 

    Additionally, the themes and representation in the movie were aspects that I really enjoyed. I felt John Green’s influence in this film, and I would watch it again.

    Wow, what a film! The entire movie had me rolling at the jokes that were a little too relatable throughout. I wasn’t even the biggest Barbie fan as a child, but I did feel a sense of endearment and nostalgia at the Barbie’s that I did have and the possibilities that they inspired for me growing up.
