    As a biologist who studies insects and infectious disease, there are few films *more* up my professional alley than Mimic. Do we get clunky word salads of scientific terminology? of course. Are there some really exaggerated and unlikely representation of evolution and public health? Definitely. But most of the phenomena used as source materal are legitimate (e.g., biological control agents, aggressive mimicry, judas/sentinel programs) which grants the film some scientific street cred.
