All my homies hate Georgie, Justin, and Steven. This was a fun movie and felt like the perfect amount of time. Samara Weaving was great and had some nice funny moments.
The anti-rich and upper class messaging was very apparent, and I thought the horror/comedy genre was a good way to convey those messages — the horrors of class stratification and the humor of delusional rich people being severely detached from reality.

Was gonna watch this for the first time then I saw that the default banner on Letterboxd features one of those small, Chiwawa, ratty, verminous, crusty dogs and decided to skip. Apologies to the cast and crew of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, I don’t doubt that this is best accumulation of your industry’s work and teachings, but that dog really made me swipe left.
This was a perfect movie with beautiful animation and art that carefully balances humor, heart, and themes about death and desire.
The constant tension throughout the movie as Puss navigates his new last life is captivating and the introduction of Death’s character adds to the stakes.

I don’t really know how I feel about this. A lot of people think this movie lacks subtlety and is very in your face, which is fair because the messaging and meaning behind it all is very obvious and it feels a bit heavy-handed at times. However, I feel like a movie that’s meant to show the collapse of society as it faces imminent doom shouldn’t exactly be toned down.
Given the story that’s being told, I think only a little bit…
