  Really enjoy the tone of this. Almost slice of life but increasingly sinister. Her realizing that her entire life and being has been manufactured as a product to replace this dude’s dead wife… Him trying to reason with her, having just brought this company representative who obviously considers her subhuman to her workplace to do the explaining for him. Ew!

  The mundane nature of how everything plays out is really excellent. It manages to avoid the dramatized production of black mirror or other recent “what if” sci-fi, and I think it lends the worldbuilding a lot of credibility.

  Forgot to review last week but I’ve probably watched this 15 times at the time of writing! Made my friends all sit down and watch it as well lol.

  I was unfamiliar with the Bible story behind the Tower of Babel before watching, but I really like this adaptation. Glad he’s found a way to bring the plant people into something new, and the sort of double-storytelling where you see the people as plants in god’s garden is just great.…
