Who really wins? The answer is no one. It never glamorizes war, it shows the awfulness of it all. The inward look, what was it all for? I learned so much. The performances were incredible, the pacing of the story and how it unfolded was brilliant. I’m not sure why more people are not talking about this amazing show?

I found this to be Ryan Murphy's best. I'm a little late to watching. I want to give every actress of the time a big hug. The system that creates them broke them. Pitted them against each other, they were working at a constant level of survivalism. They worked against the patriarchy how they thought they should for the time. Jessica Lange and Susan Surandon give stand out performances in this. This was a beautiful, thoughtful portrayal of stardom and what it means to be an aging woman.
