Truly, completely, utterly batshit crazy. Genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been so shocked by a movie before in my life. Practical effects were insane, great shock value. Super interesting concept explored in an unexpected way.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show 1975
i watched this movie after having seen and heard about in hundreds of other film and tv shows, (namely glee and the perks of being a wallflower). It was both far stranger and entertaining than it was made out to be. The music was very catchy, particularly touch-a touch me, and the plot being entirely garbled and senseless did nothing to dampen the sheer entertainment value. Tim Curry is incredibly charming and strangely attractive and the contrast between him and Susan Sarandon was perfect. Overall, a great movie well ahead of its time. I now understand how it has become such a cultural monolith.

Speak No Evil 2024
Went into this having no idea it was a remake and had only seen the trailer a couple times. Also had the privilege of enjoying this in an almost empty theatre, so my outcry’s of amazement didn’t bother anyone.
I really enjoyed this film. It kept me quite literally on the edge of my seat for the entirety of the runtime. Obviously James McAvoy’s performance was incredible, similar (but better) to his performance in Split. It was so clearly crafted…
