A blur a nonlinear montage as clear as middle school youth. How does he capture the irony of nostalgia so well?

Her 2013
Samantha’s love struck me as something more than the human love. How can it transcend the gate of human selves to a love less selfish. Maybe the inability of our overcoming is fated in humanity.
There’s an estranged embarrassment in watching this film. We hold an afloat distance even from the protagonist from whom we see the world through. Lost in translation did capture more of the human trouble in and between ourselves.

In the Heights 2021
I remember watching this in Madison’s dorm in the upper west. This is a story of New York as well as a story of the Caribbean. It touched my heart with something deeply human in the community it focused on despite the urban money-mongering dystopia of NYC.
Anyways I liked it

Anatomy of a Fall 2023
Finished on the flight HK to BOS. A film with psychological unease in the best way possible.
It’s one of these films that make you forget about questioning the ending. Just as the title of the film suggested, this posthumous trial is not about the landing but about the battles through the process.
