Tries too hard to convince me that Bob Dylan was worth the headache he seemed to give everyone around him. There are a handful of scenes here and there that work, but you have to wait a while for them to come about. Walk the Line did it way better.

I knew nothing going into this film. So by the time the credits started rolling, I was pretty wrecked. This is a heavy movie. While operating as a truly nightmarish account of one of the most atrocious institutions in history, the film also operates as an extremely intimate memoir.
For me, it was the cinematography that attributed to this the most. The trick they pull off early in the film with the reflection in the iron is a beautiful frame…
