If I had 25 hours before I went to prison I would not watch this movie…
Even though they tried making the main character redeemable by literally saving a dying dog, he like every other character in this, is skin deep, dull, and say a lot without saying anything at all.
Shoutout to Barry Pepper, his character is still a narcissistic, uncouth piece of shit, but at least he's not a pedophile or racist, terrible drug dealer/boyfriend and groomer. I love movies with terrible people. But, I don't love movies where the characters feel more like an archetype than a real person.
