  The actual music itself is rather grating 2000's autotune and I wish they would have used more traditional recordings but ASIDE from that, this is a shockingly lovable interpretation of the characters. 7.5/10

  Okay I’ll admit, I definitely enjoyed it more on the second viewing. I still feel unsatisfied with where all the characters ended up. It’s also still frustrating that the first half is a time wasting macguffin chase while the second half is overstuffed and could have benefitted from some of that time that the first half spent dicking around

  Sad to report that this one just did not have the juice. Much like I felt with the recent Ant Man and Thor movies, this lacked all the magic of this series’ previous entires. And like many sequels, it merely serves to pick up all the pieces only to set them back down in worse, less interesting places. I genuinely would have preferred to just never have gotten a Guardians 3 and had the characters only pop up in Avengers crossovers.…

  So refreshing to see that Pixar is still capable of telling an instantly classic story. This is definitely their best film since Inside Out (Pete Doctor’s last movie), and probably also their best movie since Toy Story 3.
