  A compelling drama buried beneath a lot of slow motion, too many audience reactions, and some bizarre music and mixing. Plus half a star for a boy's choir singing The Water is Wide (er, O, Waly Waly, I guess) while post-injury Zendaya was literally leaning against a tree.

  While the version in the film skipped this verse:

  I leaned my back against an oak
  Thinking it was a trusty tree
  But first it bent and then it broke
  So did my love prove false to me

  A truly hilarious metatextual moment.
