  So much hype around this movie and honestly don’t understand why? Am I too depraved to submerse myself into the Paddington cinematic universe? Outside of the political assertions, I found it’s optimism to be painful. I actually wanted the antagonist to win—for Paddington’s unhinged naivety to be squelched into the dirt by the forces outside of himself. But nonetheless, the shallow-sinking kind-heartedness prevailed and the actual interesting character with depth loses. This is the world we deserve. 3 stars for the beautiful color schemes and scene-making pulling this movie out of the murky depths of it’s bloated moralism.
