A touching concept. I feel like the movie says a lot about germany in 1987 and implicitly touches upon many subjects. The poetry most likely doesn't cater to everyone. However, much here is being expressed in silence. Just like John Cage and 4'33": There is a certain power to silence, and sometimes it just exists in between the lines.

Therefore, I will end the review in silence with a last sentence: I miss when my best friend and I would watch movies together.

Unforgivingly raw with virtually no breaks in between to digest what you just witnessed; had to pause quite a few times. Had to pause a couple of times. However, I think it was greatly justified.

The soundtrack is probably the BEST I have heard in a movie ever, although I far from expected it. It feels like the movie has no right to be so good but it just excels in the music and visually.

    In a glance,
The world is large but empty.
    Time is just the movement,
    Thus,
    as we freeze,
    as we observe,
    Our time freezes,
The world is small and complex
    But now,
    everything rushes by you.
    Shooting stars in concrete,
    at the speed of light,
    Like a train,
    intensely back and forth.
    The world doesn't stop,
    Only you.

Perceived as a full movie, it's score is questionable, but as an art piece portraying the smallest, simplest things in life within a timeframe of 20 minutes and uniquely encapsulating the sensation of a dream: All you hear is the implicit ambience of the surroundings, disconnected to what you see. There is no attempt at romanticizing anything here and the beauty is found in its pure, raw self. There is not more than what needs to be, and not less than what should.
