i guess the comedic aspects of this film are some what redeeming if your into that kind of humor. again, i think i end up watching movies that are meant for 15 year olds. it's just the same old coming of age, sappy, bring me a tissue because i'm either laughing until i cry or actual crying... i watched it twice now in an attempt that maybe the first time wasn't right place or time. but i think i can definitively say that this one just isn't for me. shoutout to leonard cohen though.

ARE U RUSHING???? OR DRAGGING????? realistically, the movie is fine. it's like tepid water. not the worst thing, not the best thing. i will give credit to casting but it also sort of felt like i would need to be 15 years old to enjoy this movie. it just started to feel boring after a while. same white man yelling. same kid trying to reach his goal despite all circumstance. it's classic storytelling. of course, there's the conflict and the ending scene is worth it's weight in gold but i'm not sure if the other parts were worth it for me.
