The Holdovers 2023
They rly don’t make movies like this anymore. I was so impressed by the dedication to recreating that specific era of film. Would’ve been cool to have been a part of the production. Refreshingly light-hearted yet still complex and moving. Wholesome movie.

I found this movie to be absolutely brilliant… Weird as fuck but a near perfect metaphor for girlhood/womanhood, specifically in the realm of female sexuality (development of, excitement of, manipulation of…). The sex scenes were very straight forward in many ways, but had layers of meaning that are oftentimes difficult to convey without words (especially to men).
