This movie is adorable and depressing in the best way.
First off : William Dafoe is gold in this. The best part of the movie was when he said “No harm, no fowl” to the birds on his property. Second to that was him kicking out the obvious pedophile that was lurking around the children.

You start the movie with the classic story of teenage angst. It’s interesting to see such a different and raw portrayal of a common movie theme like this. There’s this expectation that the story will somehow fall flat but just when you think it will there’s a scene that makes it all better.
