Fuck nostalgia fuck Marvel-ification
This heartless montage of references and tongue-in-cheek gags tries to have its cake and eat it too – attempting to deconstruct the original‘s tropes while on the other hand resurrecting (pardon the pun) those very same tropes at every opportunity. The Analyst’s monologues might be some of the most annoying movie villain shit I’ve seen in a whiiiile. There was a decent chance to actually do something interesting with the original’s story and its place in pop culture history, but this is just empty spectacle (that isn’t even particularly spectacular).
Have a star for the first 20-30 minutes. Fuck the rest.Translated from by
