  The first 15 minutes is The Hitler Youth version of Moonrise Kingdom. The remaining 90 minutes is as if Huckleberry Finn was dropped into the Third Reich. It’s a joy to watch, it’s funny, sad, and a relieving adventure. I wholeheartedly disagree with critics who say that Waititi hid the awful truth of the war. We all know what happened, we don’t need a retelling of the atrocities. From Jojo’s point of view, we get his story. And that’s more than enough for me.

  Blow the Man Down 2019

  New England Noir? Young female protagonists? Organized crime run by baby boomer women? What’s not to like. It’s funny and dark like Fargo. The acting is awesome. It’s my first time watching Morgan Saylor, and she stole the movie.
