I remember thinking this was amazing when I saw it in the theater - but I found it rather frustrating watching it today. The concept is smart and interesting, but it bothered me so much that virtually NONE of the characters ever seemed to truly believe that the mission could fail. The nonstop optimism was too much for me - it didn’t feel human. I would have liked to see the psychological aspect explored much more than it was. Being abandoned in space would shake even a sound mind, no?
